Badgers & Ladybirds
Badgers and Ladybirds had an amazing time working with the author and illustrator Lynne Chapman.
We started the session by reading the story'Kangaroo's Can Can Cafe'. It is such a funny story and Lynne helped us to understand the meaning of lots of new words. Our favourite part of the story was the Emus doing the Can Can dance.
Lynne is a talented illustrator and she showed us how she draws the different characters in her books. We helped Lynne to design some new characters. Out favourite was a frog in a tutu.
We had so much fun trying to do the Can Can dance in the style of the different animals from the story. We had to kick our legs up really high in the air in time to the music.
After the dancing we had a go at drawing our own imaginary creatures. We had some really good ideas!
